When I came to Tropical Image I came in as a Hip Hop student, after my first class, Arelis asked me if I liked Salsa, I said "I dont' Know" so she said, I want to teach you, if after 2 hours you dont like it, you dont have to stay,then she said, "If I don't make you a Salsa dancer in 2 hours I will admit I can't see talent if it smacked me in the face" , then she said, trust me I can see it not 1 but 2 miles away and smiled, she met with me 1 hr on a sunday morning and 1 hour the following sunday, by the end of those 2 hrs, I was Hooked on salsa, Knew my basics, and my 1st routine. I was placed in the MINI Dance Team and performed at my 1st show a week and a half later. I have been blessed with an amazing, supportive and talented instructor who I thank for all the opportunities I've had the last few years. Justin P, 13 yrs old

I've been dancing with Arelis for over 3 years, I like her teaching style and her personality. The staff and team are like a family I can count on anytime, and the studio is like a second home. My Favorite Instructor is Arelis because of her dedication and passion for the program and to the kids. My 1st day was full of a lot of instruction and then straight to lots of dancing. Janelle is my favorite staff member because she jokes around, a lot but when things need to get done you can count of her to take care of business. I've been dancing with TID for a few yrs, my 1st day was really good, and I was really! really! nervous.
I like Arelis because she is clear when explaining things, and makes us work hard. Even though we play a lot and have a lot of fun, she's still very strict and makes sure we look good. Although I knew a few people in the team, on my 1st day I was very nervous. Being in the team has help me be more focused on the things I do especially dancing and has motivated me to exercise more. Arelis is like a big sister and a second mom to us, she is supportive, strict, loving and understanding. The team is like my family we play and argue like brothers and sisters. My 1st day was fun and Arelis gave me a cup cake on my 1st year anniversary!!!! Yeeeiiii!! Ashley C. - 16 yrs old
I love to dance with this team and I look forward to coming to classes and rehearsals every week.
Being part of the studio has definitely helped me grow as a dancer. It's changed my view of dance "Salsa particularly", and what my experiences in the last year, are now things that I can share with other dancers at my school and pass on what I've learned here. As an Instructor at TID I can see the dedication and support Arelis puts into the program and the kids, and I wish that some of the students would be a bit more focused, work a little harder and be a bit more dedicated than what they do now. My 1st day of class was good, being part of the team has changed my life... I get to do things I want without getting into trouble......I get to meet a lot of new people, travel and perform.
